These two characters were so instrumental to my coming out struggles when I was a teen, they’ll always have a grateful little place in my heart.
Part of my LGBT Print series.
Every time I would attend conventions as a guest, I would search like a gremlin trying to find any scrap of LGBT art. Once I started selling at conventions, I began with my own reservations about creating and displaying art with such a message. I realized why it had been so hard to find before outside of one or two pieces here and there. After an art professor warned me about “being known” for my sexuality, and my political stances I decided I had to make a decision. All in, or not at all. Thus began my print series! 🌈💙
I sell this one and others at Toronto conventions, and on etsy.
